June 19 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Wednesday, repeating until July 17, 2019
We love food and beer, after all it’s what we do, so we thought we’d bring the two together by teaming up with some of our favorite breweries to create a series of beer and food pairing nights.
We’ve asked five of our favorite breweries to pick two food items from each of our three sharing boards (meat/fish/veggie) and pair different beers from their brewery with them based on it’s style and flavour, then come along to talk through their pairings whilst you sample them and hear their reasons for pairing them together.
You’ll also have the opportunity to find out more about the specific brewery and generally about beer and how it’s made.
So that’s three sharing boards, six beer samples and a whole lot of finger licking, lip smacking, tasty talking fun.
Our friends from different breweries will be joining us with their delicious beer selections and pairings on the following evenings:
Wed 19.06.19 (19:00-21:30) – BEDLAM BREWERY:
Based just outside Brighton in Plumpton Green, Bedlam brew an amazing range of cask and keg beers. Their Killington Peak New England Pale Ale has been a consistently popular offering among our draught beer line up.
Wed 26.06.19 (19:00-21:30) – GUN BREWERY:
Another local brewer with their home, since 2015, in the beautiful Sussex Weald. They have a real focus on treading lightly on their surrounding envioronment and we fell in love with their Scaramanga Extra Pale Ale last year and have struggled to find a replacement for it.
Wed 03.07.19 (19:00-21:30) – TINY REBEL BREWERY:
Not quite so local being that they are from Newport in Wales but they have been pushing the boundaries of beer styles since 2012 with beers like their Clwb Tropicana Tropical IPA. I don’t know what we’d do if it weren’t for a pint of it at the end of a busy shift!
Wed 10.07.19 (19:00-21:30) – SIREN BREWERY: Brewing out of Wokingham with a simple idea in mind: to introduce exciting, full-flavoured and forward-thinking beers to as many people as possible. They are the most recent addition to our draught line up, in the form of Yulu Loose Leaf Pale Ale, we can’t wait to try some of their other brews.
Wed 17.07.19 (19:00-21:30) – GOOD THINGS BREWERY: Back to Sussex and with a goal to be the world’s most sustainable brewery. They’re yet to feature in our draught selection, but we are looking forward to their delicious additions.
We’re holding the pairing evenings in our restaurant bar area. There is limited space for each of the pairing evenings and you do need to book in either pairs (you may be seated on a table with another couple of people) or groups of 4. It’s £25/person.
To enquire or book you can either give us a call at the pub (01273 327299) or click on the relevant ticket link below.
